An interesting point. As Robert Scoble points out in his post:

Apple II? Didn’t have switches on the front.
Macintosh? No tape drive. No cursor keys.
Next? No disk drive.
iMac? No floppy drive.
iPod? No on/off button.
iPhone? No keyboard.

  1. it is really interesting to note that apple’s products are so dearly priced and yet to think that it has so many incosistencies in product design……yet there is something that clicks about it!is’nt it that it has hold on its own turf for so long and makes iconic products such as an ipod………. ‘on/off’ switch not witholding its climb to stardom!

  4. ajit have you lately seen the rushes for the iphones, in US.
    I saw it on a news channel. the phone looked slim and sleek…and people scrolled down or side ways like they were turning pages of a book.
